Adult dogs are tested using EMBARK Dog DNA Testing and clear of genetic health conditions. We recommend the PennHip Method of Evaluation through the University of Pennsylvania Hip Improvement Program. What will your puppy have when you pick it up? 1. Dewclaws are removed 2. First series of shots. 3. First rounds of dewormings 4. Vet checked (Required by New York State law) 5. Written Health Guarantee 6. Microchips available for a fee upon request. At what age can you get your puppy? New York State Law requires that puppies must be 8 weeks of age before they can go to their new homes. Early Puppy Visits At the recommendation of our veterinarian, we limit early puppy visits, for the health and safety of your puppy and our pack. Although all our dogs are vaccinated and your puppy will have his/her first vaccinations between 6 and 7 weeks of age, there are many known and unknown diseases in the animal world at this time that can be carried in. We try to do weekly updates of each litter on our Facebook page Lipas Labradors. If you do not have access to Facebook we would be happy to send you pictures/videos via text message or email. We can also schedule a virtual visit. Puppies are socialized with family and other pack members on a regular basis to ensure early socialization.
